Women in Advertising and Communications, London (WACL) has been in existence since 1923. It currently consists of 160 of the most senior women from the fields of advertising and communications, marketing, media and associated trade bodies.
In the UK, just 12% of creative directors in the advertising industry are female. In film, the number is 11.5% at director level and in design the figures mirror, at about 11.5%. Pride in London (formally known as Pride London) is an annual LGBT pride festival and parade held each summer in London. It is one of the longest running in the country and attracts an estimated one million visitors to the city.
